The Salish Sea: Cypress

Cypress Island is our favorite go to destination so far, though Chuckanut Bay used to hold that exalted spot until MK finally allowed us leave Bellingham Bay without having some sort of breakdown, usually involving water leaks. We still do Chuckanut for day trips. Most ot the time we head for Cypress Head, a few times at Eagle Harbor and twice at Pelican Beach. Eagle Harbor and Pelican Beach are great for starting off your hiking, whether to Eagle Cliff or interior hikes - Cypress Head starts you heading straight up for like ever. Our new favorite is Smugglers Cove on the west side. Great anchorage but no bouys.
